About the author
I am an Occupational Therapist living in Helsinki, Finland. I aim to encourage discussion and development among my field with this blog. I wish for an open, sincere and enthusiastic argumentation for the benefit of us all. I am a green idealist sometimes overwhelmed by all the things wrong in the world but still trying not to turn into a cynic.
My meaningful occupations include sports (Crossfithelsinki.com, freediving, triathlon, ballet), reading, travelling, socializing, yoga and volunteer work. I also cook and blog about it in Monkeyfood.net. I’m working on learning how to meditate and try to keep in mind that we are human-beings, not -doings.
If you want to contact me, you can reach me via my email mur at iki dot fi.
Cheers, and see you around!

Hey Jess, and of course not, you’re the most welcome to do that
I’ve got loads of new recipe inspiration coming up soon since I received my copy of Sally Fallon’s Nourishing Traditions, some excellent paleo-approved stuff there among others!

Ohh, and nice to hear that you’re into meditation also. It will help ALOT with everything you do and how you are
And maybe you can borrow Antti’s Integral Life Practice book as soon as he gets it

Well yeah as much as a person not being able to meditate can be
Working my way through… I already downloaded the free chapters from the book. And I bet it’s me who reads the book since it’s not audio

Hah, yeah
Antti and reading
Everybody CAN meditatate, there are no strict rules for it but in the beginning it might feel a bit hard since there are so many thoughts flowing!
Here is a great post by a friend of mine, take a look

Thanks! The post was excellent. Had a meditative experience last weekend in Qi Gong… But as you can read from my post, it requires SO MUCH
But maybe it’ll get easier… Last night I participated a short Shindo introduction: similar elements to Qi Gong, but not as static and with a (very very nice!) background music. Liked. Also thought I reached the relaxed state with a little less effort than before… After I first almost freaked out that it’s gonna be like Qi Gong – suffering! Oh, I’m so weak.
I’ll work on it.
Reading <3 Gonna go do some, it's my favorite.

It gets easier. Consider that you’re doing something completely new, something you’ve NEVER done before. Sounds like closing in on this thing through movement seems the path that works best for you. Do not be afraid to follow it. Small steps. Small steps.

Yeps, movement’s the key I’d say, I’m feeling quite hopeful now what it comes to my future meditation
Small steps with a broken toe! Wohou!
