Ensimmäinen lapsen dokumentoitu HI-viruksesta parantuminen

First Documented Case of Child Cured of HIV. 

Aiemmin HI-viruksesta on dokumentoidusti parantunut/parannettu vain yksi toinen henkilö, aikuinen Timothy Brown, jolle siirrettiin sairastamansa leukemian hoitamiseksi kantasolujan henkilöltä, jolla oli geneettisen mutaation ansiosta immuniteetti HI-virukselle. 

Parannetun lapsen tapaus viittaa siihen, että HI-virus voisi olla mahdollista parantaa eri tavoin eri ihmisryhmissä.
